When a large star runs out of fuel it will collapse in on itself due to it’s tremendous mass and gravity and create a “black hole” in space, out of which not even light can escape. The point at which anything being sucked into a black hole is called it’s event horizon. Here, a swirling accretion disk of doomed space junk warms up as it approaches the black hole’s event horizon.
